The Teatro Libre Foundation was created in 1973 and its antecedents are in the Teatro Estudio of the Universidad de los Andes, formed by students of the Faculty of Philosophy and Letters.
His work seeks the integration of the objective aspect of theater, respect for the style of works and authors, with the intimate and individual subjectivity of the actor, through study, research and rigorous training.

It takes place in two rooms, the one in the La Candelaria neighborhood, for 204 spectators and the one in Chapinero with 662 seats, through the Actors Training School.
Free Courses are given every six months.
