Calificación promedio de usuarios
The Cartagena Gold Museum, on the other hand, was an initiative of the General Manager of the Banco de la República Rafael Gama Quijano. In 1980 the Bank presented the project for its new building in Cartagena, and the remodeling of the existing one. The origins of the construction of the house date back to the 17th and 18th centuries. The Museum was inaugurated on March 27, 1982, with a sample of 1,000 pieces from different pre-Columbian cultures of the country. After its remodeling, the Museum offers a broad vision of the Caribbean region and new elements with which the Banco de la República gives a touch of freshness to the presentation of such a valuable collection, unique in the world.
