Mamancana is the trendy place in the Caribbean. You are standing in the largest tropical dry forest nature reserve in Colombia; walk among virgin paths; be interrupted by the discreet glance of a deer or the scampering between a silver fox and a rabbit; and also having the opportunity to run wild in front of the world suspended from a harness from a mountain flying over the forest and enjoying extreme sports such as paragliding, down hill and rock climbing, is part of what you can enjoy if you visit Mamancana, the trendy place in the Caribbean. Mamancana located in Santa Marta, just 400m from the Zuana hotel, is the largest forest reserve in the Colombian Caribbean with 600 hectares of tropical dry forest, which for 13 years has been in the care of the "love of my land" Foundation.
The first theme park based on adventure sports in Latin America was built in this reserve, and its safety standards have been reviewed and endorsed by the Discovery Channel. Canopy, an extreme sport that consists of flying from mountains to platforms in the trees and one of the great attractions of the reserve, has a particularity in using examples of bridges that ancient cultures used to cross great heights, such as a Tibetan bridge, an indigenous bridge and balance steps.
Sunset at the Mamancana restaurant and bar is one of the most romantic experiences in the city, accompanied by a varied international food menu and an excellent liquor and cocktail menu.
At night the rumba turns on in the only lounge-type bar in the city.
