Socorro's interest in cooking began when she was a child, when her maternal grandmother prepared exquisite dishes for a small inn in a Bolivarian municipality and explained each recipe to her in detail. As fate would have it, I came to study in Cartagena at the age of 12. In her spare time, she devoted herself exclusively to cooking, putting into practice her grandmother's secrets.
The typical food of the Caribbean Sea is recognized for its exquisite seasoning and almost magical secret recipes, transmitted from one generation to another until our days, to the delight of our illustrious visitors.
Socorro is an obligatory reference not only for people from Cartagena who more than two decades ago discovered at his side the secret of eating well and at reasonable prices the most traditional dishes of typical Caribbean food, but also for tourists, diplomats, businessmen and members of high government that arrive well referenced in search of the incomparable flavor of Socorro.
Thanks to their assiduous and distinguished clientele, they have become the gastronomic heritage of our beloved stone corralito.
