EXPERIENCE

Doctor Jorge Luis Scarpetta Uribe, a native of Cali, Valle, studied Medicine at the Javeriana University in the city of Bogotá, where he obtained his degree as a Surgeon in 1992. Subsequently, he completed his postgraduate studies at the Integrated Service of Plastic Surgery of the Universidad del Rosario and Universidad Militar Nueva Granada in the city of Bogotá, obtaining the title of Plastic, Maxillofacial and Hand Surgeon in 1998, after 4 years of specialization.

After graduating, he traveled to Brazil to complement his training in Plastic and Aesthetic Surgery, attending the services of Professor Ivo Pitanguy in Rio de Janeiro (Ivo Pitanguy Study Center and Hospital da Santa Casa da Misericordia) and Doctor Jorge Ishida for 3 months. in Sao Paulo (Dr. Jorge Ishida Aesthetic Surgery Clinic).

Similarly, in the same year he attended the Physician's Training Program, in the city of Norfolk, Virginia, USA, to complement his studies in the area of Reconstructive Plastic Surgery in children with Cleft Lip and Palate, sponsored by the Operation Foundation Smile International, of which he has been an active member since 1995 and with whom he has participated in international conferences as a guest plastic surgeon in Kenya, Africa and Kun Ming, China. In addition, he frequently participates in the different conferences carried out by the Fundación Operación Sonrisa Colombia in different regions of the country.
