The building that currently houses the Casa del Florero - Museo de la Independencia, is a construction that dates from the end of the 16th century and the beginning of the 17th. The corner balcony between Calle 11 and Carrera 7.

It was rented to witness the events that took place there. Around the year 1810, the most important of them was rented to the Spanish merchant José González Llorente.
